Russian Classical Ballet Academy is a ballet school in Wheeling, IL founded by Zoya Doroshkevich and Leo Zhuk in 1997.

Zoya Doroschevich – Founder/ Instructor
Mrs. Zoya Doroschevich graduated from the republic of Belarus State College of Ballet and upon graduation was invited to the National Academic Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus as a professional dancer. During her more than 20 years experience there she was performing in classical and contemporary productions of the theater. She played several solo parts: maid of Honor in “Sleeping Beauty”, Grand Pa in “Raimond”, Classic in “Don Quixote”, Captive in “The Fountain of Bakhchisarai”, etc. Mrs. Doroshkevich also was training ballet college students who played in the theater productions.
After moving to United Stated together with her husband Leo Zhuk they founded Russian Classical Ballet. Over the years, school annual performances included The Nutcracker , Sleeping Beauty, Swine Lake of Petr Chaikovskii, La Bayadère and Don Quixote to the music of Ludwig Minkus, Giselle and Aida under directions of Mrs. Doroschevich. Her students alco received highest awards on the major dance competitions as “ Dance America”, “Head Liners” Schowstopper”, Star Quest”, “Starbound”, “ Foot Loose”, “ I Love Dance” and more.
Anastasia Beresneva - Artistic Director/ Instructor
Anastasia received her Vaganova ballet training in Mari State College of Ballet in Yoshkar-Ola, Russia. After Graduation she was invited to join Mari Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Her professional repertoire include “Swine Lake”, “Don Quixote”, Gisselle”, “The Nutcracker”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Cinderella”, “Romeo and Juliette”, “La Bayadère” and many more classical and contemporary productions.
In 2006 Anastasia graduated with honors Mari State University, with a masters degree in Dance and a classification as Artistic Director of the Dance team. Ms. Beresneva has more than 10 years of experience as a teacher, choreographer and dance director both in Russia and the United States. Her students received top scores on major Dance and Ballet competitions, including prestigious Youth American Gran Prix. Her students have been accepted to summer programs at School of American Ballet and Miami City Ballet.
